Poll: What Coverage Are You Hoping For?

NCAA Basketball: ACC Conference Tournament-Pittsburgh vs Syracuse Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

We’re still a little over a month away from the Pittsburgh Panthers taking the court against Slippery Rock at the end of October. That doesn’t mean there hasn’t been any meaningful happenings in the Pitt hoops world. They just landed forward Noah Collier, a 2020 commit, two days ago with a hint that there’s plenty more to come.

Now seems like the perfect time to figure out what all of you would like to see covered for the upcoming season. No matter what, you’ll be getting recaps of the games and the comment threads for each game.

Interviews - Not something we’ve traditionally done in the past outside of the comments made in the post game. We’d have to look into the logistics of conducting these. I’ve done a few via email with the softball team, and have really enjoyed those. In person might be a challenge due to scheduling and availability.

Recruiting Updates - These are definitely something we try to stay on top of. Both JD and Mike do a great job of getting updates on the site and on social media as quickly as possible.

Off-Court Analysis - Several years ago, I wrote an article bout if Pitt was a better team without Steven Adams after he left for the NBA. While the obvious answer was “no” it was a fun breakdown and a departure from game recaps.

Video Analysis - I am a little bias here, but I’ve love to do more of these. Even more than I did last season when I first started breaking down game footage with actual video.

I did a small series on screen and roll analysis - Part 1 & Part 2. I also did one on sophomore Trey McGowen’s handle, which is a big key for the Panthers if they are to take a step forward this season.

So, what would you like to see more of? If it’s something that sits outside of the above, please feel free to leave a comment below.
