After an exciting win over North Carolina this week, Pitt travels to Miami for a road contest today.
The Panthers (11-4) have had their ups and downs this year but, at this point in the season, there’s more positive than negative. Pitt already has two ACC wins and will tie their conference win total from last year with their next victory.
I’m not positive that victory will come today, though, Miami looks plenty beatable. The Hurricanes are 9-5 on the season, though none of their five losses (Duke, Florida, UConn, and two to Louisville can be considered bad). Still, they haven’t won any landmark games yet and have had some pretty close calls against the likes of Missouri State and lower-end P5 programs.
None of that is to suggest the Hurricanes can be taken lightly or even should not be favored. But the point here is that, this is an ACC team that Pitt should at least be able to contend with.
Game time is at 6:00 p.m. and you can catch it on the ACC Network. Join us here to comment live during the game.
