Against the Odds: Pitt favored against Boston College

Pitt comes into its matchup with Boston College this week as the favorite yet again.

The Panthers have been favored in all of their games this season and this one against the Eagles is no different. Pitt isn’t a huge favorite to win this one but is a solid 5 1/2-point favorite according to several oddsmakers.

Whether that’s justified or not, of course, remains to be seen — particularly because Pitt is playing on the road for the first time this year. And last week, the Panthers were big favorites against NC State at home only to lose that contest, 30-29.

I don’t think the line is out of hand but I could also see a slightly smaller number with the game on the road. But under a touchdown, it’s hardly a big number.
