Here’s your overview of scores with commentary for this week’s ACC football action - call it “underrated rivalry week” in the ACC!
Saturday, Nov. 14th, 2020
Early Games
#9 Miami Hurricanes 25 at Virginia Tech Hokies 24
The Hokies jumped out to an early 14-3 lead in the second quarter, then to a lead of 24-13 in the third, but the Canes kept battling back to finally prevail by a single point, 25-24. Another great game in this underrated rivalry.
Next up for Virginia Tech: at Pitt
Next up for Miami: Georgia Tech
__________
Wake Forest Demon Deacons 53 at North Carolina Tar Heels 59
This in-state rivalry game had seven lead changes, a come-from-behind victory, and scoring - plenty of scoring!
Next up for UNC: BYE
Next up for Wake Forest: at Duke
__________
Mid-Afternoon Games
#2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 45 at Boston College Eagles 31
“The Holy War” lived up to its name as BC hung tough with Notre Dame early and then kept within striking distance throughout the game. In the end, though, Irish talent prevailed.

Next up for Boston College:
__________
Louisville Cardinals 17 at Virginia Cavaliers 31
Remember when the Cardinals were playoff contenders and the Cavaliers were the Coastal Division doormat? No more! The tides have turned in this cross-division rivalry game.
Next up for Louisville: Syracuse
Next up for Virginia: Abilene Christian
__________
Prime Time
Florida State Seminoles 22 at NC State Wolfpack 38
Trivia question: which ACC football team was second to beat the Seminoles once, first to beat them twice, first to beat them three times, and first to beat them in Tallahassee? Yep, it was the Wolfpack. This may be the best non-traditional rivalry in the ACC.
Next up for Florida St: Clemson
Next up for NC State: Liberty
