__________
Virginia Tech Hokies 14 at Pittsburgh Panthers 47
Finally, a game that was actually played. Well, one team played the second half, at least. The first half was close, but the Panthers dominated the second half. The Hokies were unable to stop the passing of Kenny Picket, and the Panthers defense stopped the Virginia Tech offense on all three of the Hokies fourth down attempts to seal the victory.
Next up for Pitt: at Clemson
Next up for Virginia Tech: BYE
__________
Abilene Christian 15 at Virginia Cavaliers 55
It was an FCS oponent, so we shouldn’t read too much into the Cavaliers win other than it was a nice tune-up game.
Next up for Virginia: at Florida State
__________
Prime Time
#21 Liberty Flames 14 at NC State Wolfpack 15
After beating Virginia Tech by a point earlier this season, the Flames fell for the first time at the hands of the Wolfpack by the same margin. The NC State defense shut down the Liberty offense, holding the Flames to 2.8 yards per rushing attempt and quarterback Malik Willis to a QBR of just 34.5 (13 of 32 passing, 2 touchdowns, 3 interceptions).
Next up for NC State: at Syracuse
__________
Friday, Nov. 6th, 2020
Syracuse Orange 0 at Louisville Cardinals 30
The Cardinals aren’t very good this year - this was only their third win of the season - but they were more than a match for the Orange, who fell to 1-8 on the year.
Next up for Syracuse: NC State
Next up for Louisville: at Boston College
