King of the Hill: ACC Power Rankings (Week 12)

NCAA Football: Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Really not much movement in this week’s rankings. The biggest reason for that is that only six ACC teams played. The others were either on bye weeks or had games canceled/postponed.

The ‘big’ movement was Boston College and Pitt both moving up a spot after the Panthers’ beatdown over Virginia Tech. I also reluctantly flip-flopped Louisville and Georgia Tech after the Cardinals’ shutout over Syracuse. Georgia Tech beat Louisville head to head but that was a while ago and the Cardinals now have a better record.

Here are this week’s full rankings.

  1. (1) Notre Dame (8-0): Bye
  2. (2) Clemson (7-1): Game postponed
  3. (3) Miami (7-1): Bye
  4. (4) North Carolina (6-2): Bye
  5. (5) NC State (6-3): 15-14 win over Liberty
  6. (6) Wake Forest (4-3): Game canceled
  7. (8) Boston College (5-4): Bye
  8. (9) Pitt (5-4): 47-14 win over Virginia Tech
  9. (7) Virginia Tech (4-5): Lost to Pitt
  10. (10) Virginia (4-4): 55-15 win over Abilene Christian
  11. (12) Louisville (3-6): 30-0 win over Syracuse
  12. (11) Georgia Tech (2-5): Bye
  13. (13) Florida State (2-6): Game postponed
  14. (14) Duke (2-6): Game canceled
  15. (15) Syracuse (1-8): Lost to Louisville
