Former Pitt cornerback Dane Jackson was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft last month. Recently, he signed his rookie contract with the team, along with two others, as announced by the Bills.
Jackson joined sixth-round picks Tyler Bass and Isaiah Hodgins by signing their rookie deals. While Jackson’s deal was for four years, financial terms were not provided.
Coming to terms so quickly is not unexpected, obviously. The trio were the last players selected by the team and, presumably, the easiest to sign. But it’s still nice to see the contract stuff out of the way for him as he tries to make the team.
Whether or not Jackson can stick is unclear. CBS Sports graded all of the team’s picks and gave the Jackson pick an A. If nothing else, he provides some great value for being such a late pick.
