The Pitt football team has been favored in each of its games this season. That trend continues with the Panthers installed as a heavy favorite against NC State on Saturday.
The undefeated Panthers are a 14-point favorite against the Wolfpack. And while that number could move slightly, Pitt is likely to remain about a two-touchdown favorite.
Like the Syracuse game, that number is a bit high for a conference opponent. But after a narrow win against Wake Forest, NC State was beaten badly by three touchdowns by Virginia Tech this past weekend. That, coupled with the strong Pitt defense, seems plenty reason for a large spread.
