SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Top 25 Rankings "
The biggest thing to note, at least related to this blog, is that Pitt didn't make my cut. As Greg mentioned over the weekend, they did get a handful of votes, but in the end, a 3-2 Pitt team isn't worthy of a top spot. They thrashed South Florida, but I have a hard time voting Pitt over any of these teams I've ranked. I'm not saying they're not better than a team like Houston, but the bottom line is that the Cougars are 5-0.
I've got no issue with those who gave Pitt a vote, but, well, I probably need to see at least one more win before I'd consider ranking them.
Another thing of note about my ballot is that I've got Clemson a bit higher than the mainstream polls. The Tigers have three wins over ranked teams including a beatdown of Virginia Tech on the road this weekend. They've done far more than Stanford or Boise State (who someone, ludicrously, ranked No. 1 in the AP poll).
