It's not that it was all that expected (especially after he won a National Player of the Week Award), but running back Ray Graham took home the Big East Offensive Player of the Week Award for his dominating performance against South Florida. Graham's 226 yards on the ground also catapulted him back to first in the FBS in rushing with 734 on the season.
Safety Jarred Holley was also a candidate for the award as he was on the weekly honor roll for his ten tackles (two for losses) and forced fumble.
It goes without saying that Graham had a good game, but man, Holley was all over the field. Pitt's secondary has gotten killed over the years, but I really think Holley is an NFL player. Dom DeCicco getting a deal pretty much confirmed that for me. He's going to be a significant determining factor of how far Pitt goes this season.
