Brandon Lindsey had a huge game against Syracuse in Pitt's season finale and was rewarded with a Big East Defensive Player of the Week award in the final week of the regular season.

Lindsey had six tackles (the second most he's had all season), a sack, and a big interception. Over the past two games, he has three sacks and Lindsey arguably played the best two games of his season.

He wasn't the only Panther, though, to get serious consideration for a conference award this week.

Kicker Kevin Harper made four field goals and was named to the weekly honor roll for Special Teams Player of the Week.

Looking back on the season, it's amazing how far Harper came. First things first - Harper wasn't lights out this season. he missed three field goals and an extra point in the first two games and in the middle of the season, he missed four within a three-game span. But he also hit eight in a row in a three-game stretch and end the season making his last six out of seven kicks.

Inconsistent as he was, he has a strong leg and proved to be accurate at times. He also will be back next season and it's nice not to have to worry about having to replace a kicker again for another season.
