Pitt is getting back to business prepping for their game against SMU in the BBVA Compass Bowl. That doesn't mean that questions about Todd Graham are going away, though.

Interim Pitt coach Keith Patterson spoke with the media at Pitt's first practice and, of course, was asked about not only Graham, but his own situation.

In a nutshell, Patterson says he has 'options.' One of those will be joining Graham in Arizona State, he says. In other news, it's cold here in Pittsburgh in the winter.

Seriously, though - this is where Patterson ends up in my opinion. Personally, I still have my doubts about Patterson not knowing about Graham's intent to leave (or at the very least, knowing it was a possibility), and I'm probably in the minority in that opinion. But the fact is, these two are supposedly the best of friends. At the very least, Patterson knows Graham's heart and had to at least know that the potential for another move (even one after a short stop) was possible.

Now, I don't doubt that Patterson has options. And I wouldn't even be all that surprised if remaining at Pitt was one of those (though keeping the DC job might not be all that realistic). He could be in a number of places at season's end, but my money is still on him ending up in the desert with the Fraud - and I don't fault him for that. I don't know how many other defensive coordinator jobs he could land at a BCS AQ school.
