Bad news today as Chris Peak of Pantherlair reports that 2013 Pitt running back commit Corey Clement has decommitted from the Panthers.
The talented New Jersey running committed to Pitt back in June, but then immediately started looking around. He's already taken visits to Notre Dame and Wisconsin and is planning on headed to Alabama for their Nov. 10 game against Auburn.
Clement is receiving a ton of interest due to his absolutely insane senior season. Earlier this year he set the single game rushing record in South Jersey with 478 yards. In one game. Friday night, he set the record for career rushing yards.
Clement is a three-star player on Rivals, but is in 247Sports' top-100.
I would hope that Pitt is still involved with Clement since he clearly liked the Panthers enough to commit, but his interest in other programs seems pretty strong. Still, Pitt is losing Ray Graham after this season and one would have to think that Clement would be a favorite to share time with Rushel Shell in 2013.
Pitt has no running backs committed in next year's class.
