I really went back and forth quite a bit on No. 1. Notre Dame is the trendy pick, obviously, but I still have a lot of doubts about them. Ohio State was actually ranked ahead of them on my ballot last week, but after looking at the two schedules and taking everything into consideration, I bumped the Irish up. Ask me again next week and I might have a different answer.
Regarding the Big East, Louisville and Rutgers remain as the only two ranked teams. Any consideration Cincinnati had was lost after their defeat to the Scarlet Knights this week.
