Pitt vs. North Florida: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

With an 8-1 start, Pitt is flying high this season. The only blemish was a close loss to highly-ranked Michigan on a neutral court, so it's hard to complain at this point.

Pitt has, of course, had a fairly light schedule so far. But 8-1 is still a strong mark at this point in the season no matter the competition. We'll eventually find out more about Pitt at a later date - unfortunately, that probably won't be tonight.

I don't see North Florida putting up much of a fight in this one as the Panthers' easy non-conference slate continues. The Ospreys (yes, Ospreys) are 3-5 and haven't beaten anyone of consequence. They've been roundly defeated in their major tests this year and their most impressive showing was probably an eight-point road loss to 4-4 Florida State.

Safe to say, Pitt should have an easy time in this one.
