The last installment of the Big East Confab for the spring is out and this one had to do with preseason football picks to win the conference championship.

I missed the deadline for this one and it's probably a good thing. Even though football season is a ways off, I can't help but think the conference is winnable this year. The preseason favorites I've seen the most are Louisville and Rutgers. I think each of those teams could win it as well as South Florida and Pitt.

Even in a wide open Big East, I just don't see Syracuse, Cincinnati, Connecticut, or Temple making a run this year.

I would have had a difficult time picking a team. I really like Pitt's chances this season, but that would come off as extreme homerism considering the Panthers aren't being picked by many to be in contention (I'll have a bit more on this next week, by the way). Louisville is the trendy pick, but I really need to see more from them.
