Could Pitt Be In The Running For Another Voytik?

Pitt landed big-time quarterback recruit Chad Voytik earlier this year when he signed on to join Pitt's 2012 class. But if you thought he was the only Voytik playing football, think again. A younger cousin also has his sights on the Panthers.

We rarely cover players that verbally commit to Pitt, but because this is a fairly unique story, I thought it was worth a mention.

Chad Voytik's younger cousin, Matt, is a high school junior quarterback and even though he isn't being recruited yet, has his sights on the Panthers. Part of that's because of the family ties he has to the university, but because he's from the area, he's also hoping to hear from Penn State (poor kid):

"Being from the area, I knew many friends and relatives that went to Pittsburgh. Now, my sister Malia will be attending next year along with my cousin Chad Voytik. Also, I have an uncle that played football for Penn State. So these two schools would have to be my favorites."

Pointing out Pitt as a potential landing spot would be really premature considering no one's recruiting him yet. But it's an interesting story nonetheless and one I'm sure we'll hear more about later.
