I've covered this a bit in the comments sections and in some posts, but I really think Lamar Patterson is ready for a breakout season this year in basketball. With the late addition of Trey Zeigler, Patterson's scoring might not be needed quite as much, but I still think he's in for a big year.
And more than that, Patterson is really one of the Pitt's most versatile players. He was in the top three for Pitt in rebounding and assists, and led the Panthers in steals last year.
This past week, I mentioned that Patterson is playing well in the Greentree Summer League, leading Pitt's players in scoring. Today, I've got a feature up over at SB Nation Pittsburgh about 2012-13 being Patterson's year to step up.
