Just a minor note here, but this week Cardiac Hill was recognized by SB Nation for some pretty outstanding achievements. Over the past year, the site has grown significantly. More specifically, our traffic has essentially doubled since this time a year ago and has experienced one of the bigger jumps in growth of all of the college blogs on the network.

We saw a nice growth spurt this spring, doubling our traffic from the year before at the same time. We were able to maintain that nearly 100% increase later this summer only through the guys from Pitt Script coming aboard. And with the initial additions of Greg and Mike about a year ago as well as, more recently, Jim and Pat this month, the site really is bigger and better than ever to steal a popular catchphrase.

I say all that to say this - thank you for putting up with us. For checking back to see what we say, even if you don't agree or particularly care all that much. For writing that we're imbeciles when we deserve to be called as such and for your praise when you think we've made a valid point. Better days are ahead for this blog, I'm convinced, and that's only due to you showing up.

When I birthed this blog nearly four years ago, trust me - I didn't see this coming. I only created it for the same reason most people start blogs - to have a venue to rant (far more for the ability to merely release pent up frustration than in the hopes that anyone would actually read what I had to say). Through SB Nation, we have that.

So from all of us here at Cardiac Hill - thanks.
