Aaron Donald had a heck of a game on Saturday. I wrote this in the recap, but I'm amazed by how many sacks and how much pressure he is able to get playing on the inside of Pitt's modest defensive line. Despite all the double teams he faces, he still finds ways to wreak havoc on opposing offenses.
Donald had another big game yesterday against Virginia Tech with six tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for losses. He's actually the nation's leader in sacks per game and tackles for loss per game, which, for an interior lineman, is frightening.
He's starting to get some notice on the national level, too. This week, he's up for the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week award, given to the top defensive player. As an aside, he's also up for the IMPACT Player of the Year, too, having received that credit in the preseason.
Get out and vote for Donald this week - you can vote here.
