Pitt vs. Navy: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

Pitt takes on Navy today at 1:00 p.m. A win brings the Panthers to within only one more victory to become bowl eligible. With so many difficult games left (Notre Dame, Miami, Georgia Tech, and even North Carolina), this is a game that Pitt really needs to win.

Today's game really comes down to stopping the option. Do it and Pitt should win. But if the Panthers can't contain the quarterback and running backs, it could make for a long afternoon. Navy has no passing attack to speak of but as HCPC said in his weekly press conference, the Panthers also need to make sure they cover the play action.

The game starts at 1:00 p.m., but chime in below with your predictions before kickoff. And of course, check out our game week page. There, you can read our preview, game picks, injury report, breakdown of the Paul Chryst press conference, and a lot more.
