Been a while since the name Johnny Majors has come up on this blog, right?
Majors, the former Pitt coach, will pick up an honor from the ACC this season as he has been named to the conference's Class of Legends for 2013. Majors will receive the distinction during the ACC Championship game in Charlotte on December 7th.
Majors, of course, coached Pitt's last National Championship team in 1976 and despite a return in the 90s that didn't go all that well, still is an all-time great for the university. He only coached four seasons at Pitt in his first stint, but still managed to win two National Coach of the Year awards with the program.
And, hey look, if you're in the area, you can even attend the formal event the night before the game for $85.00 if you want. No?
A total of 15 legends from ACC schools will receive the honor.
