After wasting Fresno State and Howard last week, the 3-0 Pitt Panthers will only take the court one time this week. Pitt will host Lehigh on Wednesday night at The Pete. The game will be at 7:30PM and for a lot of fans outside of Pittsburgh, it will also mark the first chance to see this season's team since the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
The Mountain Hawks, from the east side of the state, will come to Pittsburgh a tired bunch. They are 1-3 and their only win was against a Rider team in Lehigh's only home game so far this season. They have been tested against some bigger teams with losses to Minnesota and Houston on their record and have also suffered all three losses on the road.
Pitt, meanwhile, will be looking to go 4-0 and build up for one more game before things start to get serious at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn next week. So far, in three games, the Panthers have had multiple players contribute and it seems that is the way things will go this year. One thing we will look forward to this week is to see if Jamie Dixon starts to bring the rotation down to a lesser number in anticipation of better competition that is coming soon.
