Pitt vs. St. John's: Open Gamethread

Jim McIsaac

So, am I right to feel a little nervous about this one?

As I outlined briefly in the post on Friday, St. John's is a pretty strong team, despite a 16-10 record. They got off to a bumpy start, but are 7-3 in their past ten games. And those three losses, by the way, came to Syracuse, Georgetown, and Louisville.

Individually, Pitt will again have its collective hands full with D'Angelo Harrison. Harrison is the team's leading scorer with more than 18 per game this year, and the Panthers had serious trouble with him last season. In his first game, Harrison went for 21 points. In the next game between the two teams, Harrison shot terribly, but still finished with 12 points and ten rebounds. He's is even better year and will make him even more difficult to guard.

I'll be a little late to the open gamethread and may only catch the second half. But stop by and comment live during the game.
