Pitt vs. Seton Hall: Open Gamethread

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt comes into this game against Seton Hall on a bit of a roll. The team has won five of the last six games and is coming off its biggest win of the season - a ten-point victory against Syracuse this weekend.

But these are the games you've absolutely got to win if you're the Panthers. Not only is it a game against one of the conference's weaker teams, but it's at home. A loss here would be an absolute disaster and undo much of the good that was done against the Orange.

It's pretty hard to see Pitt losing this one unless they really overlook the Pirates. Seton Hall's only two wins in the conference have come against perhaps its two weakest teams: South Florida and DePaul. They've been competitive at times against good teams like Cincinnati and Marquette, but have struggled for the most part this year.

Both teams are on a short turnaround having played Saturday, but the Panthers get this one at home. Sounds good to me.
