Pitt basketball recruiting: 2013 forward Lennard Freeman to visit Pitt

USA TODAY Sports

With three open scholarships still available, Pitt is looking for warm bodies for this season. Enter 2013 forward Lennard Freeman.

Freeman is a 6'9" power forward available in this year's class. He's decided to take a visit to Pitt in the first weekend in May.

There's lots of interest in him. He's a three-star recruit according to Rivals, ESPN, Scout, and 24/7. Rivals has him with nearly 20 offers including North Carolina State, Memphis, Xavier, Rutgers, Temple, UMass, and many more. Video highlight? Got you covered right here with a sick dunk.

But if you're looking for Freeman to end up in a Pitt uniform this fall, don't hold your breath. For one, Freeman could reclassify to 2014 according to that first link from ZagsBlog. And in fact, Freeman himself said he was leaning that way back in December. Plus, there are the numerous offers he currently holds so there's plenty of competition. And according to Rivals and 24/7, he's not even been offered by Pitt yet.

Freeman could wind up a Panther, but it's far from probable at this point.
