Pitt receiver Maurice Ffrench was probably one of the Panthers’ more draftable players this year. Ultimately, though, he went unselected and signed with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent.
Ffrench going to the Chiefs will, of course, allow an entire fanbase to acclimate themselves to the ff:

Last year, he broke Larry Fitzgerald’s single season receptions record, finishing with 96 catches. That, typically, would draw a lot of attention in terms of improving draft stock. But Ffrench’s overall production was a bit less than what some had hoped for and despite recording nearly 100 catches, he finished with a modest 850 yards since so many were such short grabs. His four touchdowns from scrimmage were also only half of what they were last year and while Ffrench was a nice weapon for Pitt, he didn’t really have the breakout season that may were looking for.
Still, he was a playmaker for Pitt and it will still be tough to see him go. And his two kickoff return touchdowns in 2018 proved that he has value as a return man, too. Glad to see he will get a chance to continue his career in the NFL.
