More on recent Pitt commit James Julius

US PRESSWIRE
Chris Hays of the Orlando Sentinel has a bit more information on recent Pitt recruit, Julius James. James verbally chose Pitt over the weekend and he says the commitment is a pretty firm one:
"I'm 100 percent committed. I like Pitt a lot," Julius said. "The coaches are great and they seem like a real family-oriented coaching staff."

...

"It was just time to make my decisioin (sp) and I've been concentrating on this for like a month now," he said. "I'm pretty comfortable and really happy. I have a sense of direction of where I'm going now.

For what it's worth, though, he's still looking around a bit and the story says he expects to make a few more visits (even though none are currently scheduled).

One program Pitt probably needs to keep an eye on is Cincinnati. James was being recruited by them while Butch Jones was still the coach and was planning a visit there. But since Jones has moved on to take the job at Tennessee, the Bearcats haven't yet been in touch. That could change, though, with Tommy Tuberville and the new coaching staff as they'll most likely be taking a look at the recruits previously on the radar.

On the season, James has one interception and has averaged about five tackles per game.
