Ashton Gibbs wrapped up the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament with a third consecutive strong game. His team even won to avoid finishing last in the event.

Gibbs was clearly one of the better players on his team during the tourney.

In his final game, Gibbs scored 13 points. But he made all nine of his free throw attempts and added seven assists, a steal, and a block.

To sum it up, Gibbs had quite a week.

For the three days, Gibbs averaged 19.7 points and 4.7 assists. Even more impressive was that he found his shot. Gibbs made 61% of his shots from the field and connected on just over 90% of his free throws.

I wrote this before, but it's really shortsighted to think that Gibbs will suddenly get drafted because of an all-star tournament. But if any teams had an interest in him before, that probably has gotten a bit stronger. Personally, I still think it's a long shot that he's drafted, but as I said this weekend, it only takes one team to be interested.
