Brandon Lindsey projects as a linebacker going in the middle to late rounds in this week's NFL Draft. But where could he end up? As I did for Lucas Nix earlier this week, I did some digging to find out what teams are talking about Lindsey.
For starters, I haven't seen as much information on Lindsey as I have on Nix. Still, there are a few things out there. While this Jets site doesn't say the team is interested in him per se, they project him as a late-round value pick.
Then there are the San Diego Chargers. Along those same lines, the lightning bolts apparently might be interested in a pass-rushing outside linebacker and Lindsey could fit the bill as a later-round pick.
Lastly, the popular scouting service, Our Lads, projects Lindsey as the Baltimore Ravens' final pick.
If Lindsey goes late, I'd put him in the steal category. As I wrote in the earlier preview piece, Lindsey has some good versatility and has proven he can get to the quarterback from end and from linebacker. Things are surely going to be more difficult at the next level, but Lindsey had a very solid college career and should have a chance to be a real contributor in the NFL. If he doesn't get taken in the middle rounds, he'll make a great pick for someone near the end of the draft.
