Ever since word broke that Ashton Gibbs was invited to the Brooklyn Nets' summer league team, I've been trying to find out if he actually took them up on the offer.
Even though it's gone a bit under the radar, Gibbs did in fact latch on with the Nets.
As I've outlined before, Gibbs could have a difficult time making the roster. Jordan Farmar is no longer in the picture thanks to a trade, but with Deron Williams re-signed and draftee Tyshawn Taylor around (Taylor, by the way, has played fairly well in the summer league games, averaging 13 points a game), Gibbs faces an uphill battle of making the team.
