Hail to Links! The "There Is Actually Pitt Content Today" Edition

Hail-to-links_medium

Considering all that went on today in college football and the state of Pennsylvania, there is a surprising amount of Pitt-related content out there. We'll take a look at an award-winning incoming freshman, a potential award-winning senior, and a former 2012 recruit sitting out a year.

Also, we'll check out where Notre Dame thinks they fit in, what happens when mimicking a bad '90s sequel goes wrong, and more...after the jump.

BREAKING: Rushel Shell is a good athlete.

Mocking the Panthers: Mocking The Draft takes a look at the NFL Draft potential of the 2012 Pitt Panthers and offers up some things to keep an eye out for.

Fun with watch lists. Defensive back Jarred Holley was named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list, presented to the nation's top defensive player. He is the fifth Pitt player named to a watch list this week.

Falling through the cracks. Former Todd Graham recruit Alkwan Williams committed to Temple after there was no longer an available scholarship for him at Pitt. Only problem is that Temple doesn't have a scholarship available for him either.

eHarmony: NCAA Edition. ESPN's Notre Dame Blog takes a look at the school's compatibility with the ACC.

Waynestock goes to Honolulu. Remember in Wayne's World 2 when Wayne attempts to put on a concert without booking any bands, hoping the bands show up anyways? Well, Hawaii's Athletic Director decided to give this a try to raise funds for the athletic department, and it worked out well...NOT!
