Athlon's back with another list - this time they ranked the top 50 Big East players. Ray Graham is, of course, high on the list. But it was a bit of a surprise that he wasn't the highest rated Panther.
That honor went to defensive standout, Aaron Donald. Hard to dispute that too much since Donald was one of the best defensive players in the league this season. But if Graham is healthy, I'd expect him to have the bigger season by comparison. It will be interesting to see if Donald is able to replicate his big 2011 with teams preparing a bit more for him.
Pitt also had plenty of other representation - here's the full list:
No. 2 - Aaron Donald
No. 3 - Ray Graham
No. 12 - Jarred Holley
No. 27 - Devin Street
No. 37 - Chris Jacobson
No. 39 - K'Waun Williams
No. 49 - Ryan Turnley
For the record, Rutgers linebacker Khaseem Greene was No. 1. Pitt's seven players tied them for third in the Big East.
