Pitt has been trying to sort out their basketball schedule for some time now. It's still not finalized, but a few teams' schedules that are completed have been released and Pitt shows up on them.
The Panthers will reportedly host Howard and Bethune-Cookman at the Pete. They'll face Howard on November 27th, the week after Thanksgiving. Pitt will then play Bethune-Cookman at home on December 15th. The big game sandwiched in between there is the City Game against Duquesne, which will be at the Consol Energy Center on December 5th.The other interesting note from Ray Fittipaldo's article is that he predicts the home opener could land on November 10th (the article actually says the 9th, but he calls for possibly the 10th in the posts).
Obviously nothing to get too excited about here. We all know the score - Pitt is trying to drastically upgrade their non-conference schedule, but trying to find quality teams this late in the game is pretty difficult. At this point, I'm not expecting much.
