A few weeks back, Greg wrote a perfectly good article about why Pitt can contend in the ACC Coastal division in 2013. But not everyone feels the same way.
Athlon has its early predictions out for the conference and they actually rank Pitt near the bottom of the division - sixth to be exact.
Frankly, I can see both sides. The coastal was pretty down last year and it really could be up for grabs. But on the other hand, Miami is supposed to be much improved and Virginia Tech should be better by default. And the team that had the most wins in the division, North Carolina, is eligible for the postseason again.
I'm not sure how I feel about Pitt just yet. With a new quarterback, the loss of Ray Graham, and also the loss of one of the team's top receivers, it's hard to get a good feel for what this team will be like. Until some of the many questions about the team get answered, it's going to be hard to predict what to expect in 2013.
