It is starting to be comical at this point. Pitt has landed yet another commitment this week, bringing the total to ten commitments in one week's time. It is just an absurd pace this staff is on. Shane Roy of Reading Community High School in Cincinnati is the newest member to the 2014 recruiting class. Shane is a 6-4 220 pound defensive end. Roy appears to be very physical, as you can see with this first clip. He is rated as a 3 star by Rivals and Scout. He went with Pitt over Boston College, UConn, Illinois, and just about the entire MAC.

Roy also becomes the third defensive linemen to join the recruiting class. Connor Dintino and Mike Herndon both committed yesterday, and both are regarded as 3 stars as well. Pitt brought in five defensive linemen last season and only will graduate three, so Pitt very well could be done on this side of the trenches.

This is just a remarkable week for the Pitt recruiting staff. They have added ten players in seven days. I know these guys are not the highest rated guys, but if you watch highlights, they appear to be pretty good, and sizeable. It is apparent this staff does not want to get pushed around up front anymore. The big name players will come, as there are only 11 commitments to a class that is expected to range anywhere from 21-25 players.
