King of the Hill: Cardiac Hill's ACC Basketball Power Rankings (Week 9)

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

With all of the football coaching news, a bowl game, and the holidays, I took some time off from the weekly ACC basketball power rankings. This week we're back to it, though.

Here is how I slot the conference's 15 hoops squads after this past week's action.

1. Duke (13-0): Comfortable wins against Toledo, Wofford, and Boston College

2. Louisville (13-1): Rebounded from the loss to Kentucky with wins against Long Beach State and Wake Forest

3. Virginia (13-0): Beat Davidson and beat Miami in double overtime

4. Notre Dame (14-1): Beat Hartford then defeated Georgia Tech in double overtime

5. North Carolina (11-3): Beat William & Mary and Clemson; have won five in a row

6. Syracuse (10-4): Beat Cornell easily, but struggled in a win against Virginia Tech

7. North Carolina State (11-4): Lost to Cincinnati but defeated Pitt

8. Georgia Tech (9-4): Competed against Notre Dame in double overtime loss and narrowly beat Charlotte

9. Miami (10-4): Beat College of Charleston and took Virginia to double overtime

10. Pitt (10-4): Beat Florida Gulf Coast, but lost to NC State

11. Clemson (8-5): Beat Robert Morris but crushed by North Carolina

12. Florida State (8-6): Beat Florida but lost to Mississippi State

13. Boston College (7-5): Beat UMass-Lowell, but beaten easily at Duke

14. Wake Forest (8-6): Beat Princeton and hung with Louisville in a loss; have won three out of last four games

15. Virginia Tech (8-6): Lost to West Virginia and Syracuse
