The Panthers are on a bit of a roll with a Homecoming win over Virginia this week. How did that factor in to the weekly power rankings? Pitt didn't rise because the teams in front of them have still looked more impressive.
The biggest issue I had this week was what to do with Wake Forest who defeated Boston College this week in a 3-0 mess. I couldn't put Georgia Tech ahead of them because it would mean they actually move up in the rankings despite getting beat by nearly three touchdowns to Clemson. In the end, a three-point win against Boston College is better than a blowout loss.
