The Panthers are on a bit of a roll with a Homecoming win over Virginia this week. How did that factor in to the weekly power rankings? Pitt didn't rise because the teams in front of them have still looked more impressive.
The biggest issue I had this week was what to do with Wake Forest who defeated Boston College this week in a 3-0 mess. I couldn't put Georgia Tech ahead of them because it would mean they actually move up in the rankings despite getting beat by nearly three touchdowns to Clemson. In the end, a three-point win against Boston College is better than a blowout loss.
|1||1||Clemson||5-0||Routed Georgia Tech by 19
|2||2||Florida State||5-0||Gutted out 29-24 win over Miami
||5-1||Routed Army, 44-3
||Pitt||4-1||Defeated Virginia at home, 26-19
||3-2||Move up one with close loss to Florida State
||28-13 win over North Carolina State
||North Carolina State
||4-2||Lost to Virginia Tech
||Ugly 3-0 win over Boston College gets them to .500
||2-4||Blowout loss to Clemson
||2-3||Shutout loss to Wake Forest
|13||9||Syracuse||3-2||21-point loss to South Florida
|14||14||Virginia||1-4||Loss to Pitt keeps them at the bottom
