King of the Hill: Cardiac Hill ACC Football Power Rankings (Week 7)

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Panthers keep on winning and with a road victory over Georgia Tech, Pitt is garnering some national attention. But even with the Top 25 ranking, it's still difficult to move them too high in the ACC power rankings just because the teams in front of them are winning, too.

An argument could be made that they should be ahead of Duke. But the Blue Devils beat Georgia Tech by 14 (albeit at home) and have won games a little more comfortably in general this season. For now, Pitt remains fifth in our rankings, but there was movement elsewhere.

As someone also pointed out last week, Syracuse probably deserved to be ahead of Wake since they won head to head and have a better record. For that reason, I gave them a slight bump.
