9/3 Villanova
9/10 Penn State
9/17 at Oklahoma State
9/24 at North Carolina
10/1 Marshall
10/8 Georgia Tech
10/15 at Virginia
10/22 BYE
10/27 Virginia Tech (Thurs, ESPN)
11/5 at Miami
11/12 at Clemson
11/19 Duke
11/26 Cuse
This schedule is definitely as tough if not more so than the schedule last year. Some of the highlights are that yawner of a game on 9/10 (just kidding), at Oklahoma State, at North Carolina, and at Clemson. Pitt starts the year fairly brutally getting Penn State, at Oklahoma State, at North Carolina, and Marshall. The first two games of the year conflict with 7 pm Pirates games on both days. Pitt fans should hope the Pirates game gets flexed out somehow. A nooner for the revival of Pitt-PSU game definitely would put a downer on the occasion.
Pitt finally gets one of the ACC's elite again in its trip to Clemson this year on November 12th. Honestly, that should easily be the road trip of the year for Pitt fans. I'll be looking to head down myself. A good backup option would be the Virginia game which was great in 2014.
ESPN and the ACC continue to try to force the most nonrival rivlary ever of Pitt and Cuse by placing it during Rivalry Week. The one change from the last couple of years is Pitt will be playing on Saturday of Thanksgiving week instead of Friday.
We'll dig a little deeper into the schedule as the offseason progressives, but what are your early thoughts on the schedule?
