Pitt vs. Mount St. Mary’s: Open Gamethread

Pitt’s basketball team tries to keep its mini win streak going with a game tonight against Mount St. Mary’s (3-5).

The Mountaineers haven’t been real good this season and have already played a somewhat challenging schedule. They opened the season with games against Marquette, Notre Dame, and Georgetown and, as expected, lost all three. And while they’ve won only one of their last three games, defeating Loyola (Maryland), the Panthers have won three in a row defeating Lehigh, High Point, and most recently, Duquesne.

I can’t imagine the team will be looking ahead but after tonight, the Panthers have a challenging rivalry game with West Virginia on Saturday. First things first, though - they need to defeat Mount St. Mary’s.
