Basketball Recruiting - remaining targets

It's not clear what sites show accurate remaining targets for Pitt - so I did my best to try to condense who some of the current targets that Capel might target with his remaining 5 scholarships. I expect a grad transfer or regular transfer in addition to several freshmen. I don't think Capel will just bring someone in just to bring them in (unless its a grad transfer who is gone after 1 year).

Below is a position by position, showing priority level of bringing in a new player and the projected players at that position on the roster for next season). I'll also list players who I am aware of that they are targeting for next year (not necessarily an offer, but most cases these guys have an offer) below under 2019 targets.

PG (low priority - Trey McGowens, so; Xavier Johnson, so., Curtis Aiken, rs fr., Onyebuchi Ezeakudo, so. - if Aiken's injury history renders him unavailable expect Pitt to scour the grad transfer market for a Sid N'Dir replacement)

Cole Anthony - the son of Greg Anthony has an offer but no longer seems to be considering Pitt

2020 targets: Ethan Morton (local WPIAL - Butler), Noah Farrakhan (NJ)

SG (low priority - Malik Ellison, sr., Khameron Davis, jr, Anthony Starzynski, sr)

Lester Quinones - looks like he also has eliminated Pitt and is down to LSU, Georgia, UCLA and Maryland

Anwar Gill - Looks like he just committed to La Salle (twitter unconfirmed) but 247 and every other site have him still uncommitted

Niven Glover - 247 has his top 3 as Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Pitt. He does not tweet much (so uncommon for a young man!) so its hard to gauge anything but looks like a number of schools are at least mildly interested in Niven

Jeremiah Davenport - Being pursued by low-level schools like High Point, Western Carolina and Presbyterian, so this appears more unlikely as the days advance

2020 targets: Isiaiah Jackson (MI), BJ Boston (GA), Jalen Suggs (MN), Earl Timberlake Jr. (MD)

SF (moderate priority - Au'Diese Toney, so. - Pitt will run 3 guard lineups often with Johnson, McGowens, Ellison, Toney and Davis combos. Expect 1 wing player to be brought in)

Precious Achiuwa - feels like Pitt is done here. UConn is considered the frontrunner

Brison Waller - Kevin Stallings offered Waller, but hard to say how interested Capel is. If Pitt wants Waller, they will be going up against MAC schools and JUCO so should be very gettable

Dejourn Cook - can't find much on Cook. Looks like he has offers from Pitt and DePaul but I have not seen much information on him (may be an uncommittable offer)

2020 targets: Che Evans (MD), Henry Coleman (VA), Demarr Langford (MA)

PF (high priority - Kene Chukwuka, sr, Samson George, jr)

Karim Coulibaly - A guy whose recruiting has taken of lately and does not appear to have trimmed his list to finalists yet. Looks like he is seriously interested in Pitt. Has not trimmed down to finalists yet but plenty of Power-5 schools are pursuing him

Tariq Ingraham - does not appear that Pitt's offer is commitable, as he is now considering Atlantic 10 and lower schools

Tre Mitchell - the Pittsburgh native appears to be considering Pitt along with at least 6 other schools still. Notre Dame was considered the favorite early on, but now it is difficult to say with so many top schools still in the running

Jalyn McCreary - Pittsburgh Sports Now has a good profile on Jalyn

2020 targets - PJ Hall (SC), Justice Ajogbor (NY/Nigeria)

C (high priority - Terrell Brown, jr)

Qudus Wahab - Pitt is in the thick of Wahab's recruiting, going up against UConn, Syracuse, GTown, and Virginia Tech. No clear frontrunner, and I have heard all 5 schools are neck-and-neck

Kof Cockburn - Pitt is up against UConn, Kansas, Illinois & St Johns for the talented 4 star. He will be visiting Illinois on Dec. 28 and will likely visit each of the remaining finalists before making a decision

2020 targets - Hunter Dickinson (VA), Mark Williams (VA), Dain Dainja (MN)

Coulibaly and Wahab appear to be the best odds for a Pitt commit, but don't sleep on Cockburn, Mitchell or Glover, who could all be big time impact players and still have not trimmed down to finalists
