Pitt unveiled an addition to its victory lights display on the Cathedral of Learning, which now appropriately includes a blue spotlight aimed skyward to go with the existing golden lights fixed on the building.
The update was announced via the Pitt football team’s Twitter account Wednesday night after a successful finale to the recruiting season that saw two sought-after recruits commit to the program:

As The Pitt News reported, the victory lights were curiously lit Monday night, prompting speculation online as to why. University spokesman Joe Miksch said that it was just a test, though, and no official word was given on the lights until Wednesday.
The lights, as most Pitt fans know, are lit to celebrate notable athletic achievements at the university, such as Pitt football and basketball wins.
