The dust had just settled after an eventful weekend on the recruiting trail for the Pitt Panthers when Pat Narduzzi posted his 12th Pat signal of the 2019 cycle on Monday evening. Just over 24 hours later, the identity of the Panthers’ latest addition was revealed, as defensive end Bam Brima of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, stepped forward to announce his commitment to the program.
He shared his decision on Tuesday night in a message posted on Twitter.

Brima is considered a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports and Rivals. During his recruitment, he drew offers from a total of 15 schools, including Cincinnati, Kent State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple and UConn.
The defensive end is originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, where he played as an offensive guard and defensive lineman for St. Peter-Marian High School. in 2017, he transferred to Loyalsock Township High School in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and made a quick impact.
“Brima looks like an athlete cut from central casting,” said Chris Masse of the Sun-Gazette. “The junior defensive end stands 6-foot-7, weighs 235 pounds, shows explosive speed and hits mighty hard. He has become a weapon, and Brima arriving the same night the season started is a big reason the Lancers are district champions for the first time since 2009.”
During the 2017 season with Loyalsock Township, Brima accounted for 77 total tackles, including 10 for a loss and two sacks, according to MaxPreps. He is the second in-state recruit of Pitt’s 2019 recruiting class, as linebacker Brandon George of Berks Catholic High School in Reading, Pennsylvania, announced his commitment on Sunday night.
