Pitt’s already had to deal with injury this year with Sidy N’Dir sitting out a few weeks with an knee injury. Pitt announced tonight that won of their key freshman in Au’Diese Toney would be sitting out with a right hand injury.
Freshman Au’Diese Toney will miss tonight’s game due to a right hand injury.

Toney started the first 20 games of the season and is averaging 9.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. pic.twitter.com/tTwQDpj4ry
Toney hasn’t been the star offensively that Xavier Johnson or Trey McGowens have been as he’s the team’s worst shooter percentage wise at 37% from the field. However, he’s probably one of the team’s best two defenders and is the team leading rebounder as well. He was a huge reason for Pitt’s first ACC win against Louisville, where he held their leading scorer Jordan Nwora to just 8 points on 2-14 shooting.
Pitt did not announce if this was a long term injury or not. Hopefully this is a one game issue, and he’s back for Syracuse on Saturday.
