Pitt vs. Binghamton: Open Gamethread

NCAA Basketball: Pittsburgh at Louisville Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Pitt’s basketball team continues its non-conference season tonight with a game against Binghamton at home.

As I wrote this week, the Panthers have very clearly struggled against the weaker teams they’ve faced. So it’s understandable to believe this game is no gimme. But the Bearcats are also quite bad, mostly recently losing by 18 to Youngstown State. They’ve also dropped games to Colgate, Loyola-Maryland, Columbia, Cornell, and Michigan State.

Binghamton has, on occasion, shown an ability to score points, putting up a combined 178 in consecutive wins against Army and Oneonta State. But, in all, the team hasn’t been real good.

The Panthers (8-3) will square off against the Bearcats (5-6) at 7:00 p.m. and you can watch the game on the ACC Network. Join us here to comment live during the game.
