Former Pitt cornerback was selected late in this year’s NFL Draft, going to the Buffalo Bills in the 7th round. Over the weekend, the Bills named their final cuts that did not make the 53-man roster and Jackson was one of those.
We’ve released 24 players from the roster.

Surprisingly enough, cornerback depth has been an issue for the Bills and some folks believed he was positioned well to make the team. Jackson was, as this article states, the only player drafted by the team to not make the roster. Players drafted do typically have a better shot at making the roster, obviously. But when you’re selected as low as Jackson is, all bets are off.
While the move is disappointing, Jackson is likely to get another shot somewhere else now or in the future.
