The Pitt Panthers entered their clash with the fourth-ranked Florida State Seminoles as underdogs but fought valiantly for more than a half. At halftime, they trailed 10-7, giving the ACC Championship Game contenders a run for their money. However, as the game progressed, the Panthers faced an uphill battle. While the statistics might not have painted a pretty picture for the Pitt defense, they performed better than the box score suggests. Unfortunately, their valiant efforts were not complemented by the offensive unit.
