I don't do a lot of reporting on recruiting of players that haven't committed to the school, but thought this was an interesting tidbit. Todd Graham's first day of recruiting could prove to be a successful one as he could be close to landing his first pickup.
Wide receiver, Keyarris Garrett, is currently a Tulsa commit, but he's said to be very interested in Pitt. Rivals even has him listed as having an offer from Graham and the school already (need to be an Insider to view the article).
UPDATE: Garrett's page now says he has a visit scheduled for January 21st.
Garrett isn't a huge recruit - he's listed as a three-star by Rivals and Scout. Still, it's a start and could be a solid pickup. He was reportedly offered by ten schools including Tulsa, Houston, and Purdue.
In addition, there are several other recruits that are apparently being targeted and former Pitt recruit, Desimon Green, apparently might not be done with Pitt just yet (also must be an Insider to view).
This is good news and looks like Graham is, at the very least, keeping his promise of getting to work immediately. He has a lot to do and, frankly, I'm not buying his optimism that this will be the 'best class ever.' Still, if his staff works hard enough, to even make it an average class would be a tremendous achievement.
