I haven't checked in that much on former Pitt guard Brad Wanamaker this season. He was invited to the San Antonio Spurs' camp last year, but is now in the NBDL, playing for the Spurs' affiliate - the Austin Toros.
Wanamaker's had a decent season and is now playing for a title in the best-of-three series against the Los Angeles D-fenders. The Toros dropped the first game, but behind a big game from Wanamaker, they won the second game to force a third, which will be played Saturday night.
Wanamaker had a typical Wanamaker game doing a bit of everything. He contributed 15 points and five rebounds, and also had a team-high five assists and four steals. On the season, Wanamaker put up decent numbers. He averaged 5.5 points and just over two assists and rebounds per game in 19 minutes of action. He's also shooting 46% from the field and 86% from the free throw line. If nothing else, Wanamaker is becoming a better shooter. His 46.4% field goal percentage is higher than any of his years at Pitt and the same goes for his free throw shooting. Wanamaker's previous season high for free throws with the Panthers was 76%.
